Spectacle Recycling
Giving Old Eyewear a New Purpose
Old glasses do not need to sit forgotten in a drawer or end up in general waste.
Through our spectacle recycling initiative, unwanted prescription glasses, sunglasses and safety eyewear can be collected and processed responsibly, helping recover useful materials and reduce unnecessary waste.
You can bring eligible eyewear into our Haywards Heath practice, where our team will explain the current recycling process and any available customer rewards.

Recycling Contact Lenses and Packaging
Contact lenses and their packaging are small, but collectively they can create a considerable amount of waste.
Where accepted under the current recycling scheme, patients can bring used contact lenses, blister packs and foil packaging into the practice for responsible processing.
Our team can confirm which materials are currently eligible before you visit.
Every frame recycled, every responsible choice and every small improvement helps us protect what matters most.

Monthly Beach Cleans
Looking after the environment goes beyond the walls of our practice. As part of our ongoing sustainability commitment, members of the HAYDENSWAN Eyecare team regularly take part in organised beach cleans along the Sussex coastline, helping to remove litter and protect local marine habitats.
These volunteer events are a small but meaningful way for us to give back to our local environment. Every piece of litter collected helps preserve our beautiful coastline and supports healthier ecosystems for wildlife and future generations.
